Jan Komárek
NANOHACH
A physical semi-opera for one dancer
Non-compromisingly intensive, visual dance solo with live music and singing designed as a theatrical poetic collage put into an industrial environment where abstraction and drama meet subtlety and exaggeration. NANOHACH followed their cooperation with the extraordinary artist Jan Komárek who created this genuine theatre-dance project based on Dostojevsky’s masterpiece Crime and Punishment.
“...this exceptional work has raised the bar for the Czech dance scene to rarely seen territory, and helped it to get out of a kind of ivory-towered isolation.” Alex Švamberk / Dance Zone, Summer 2009
