Gaia
Dagmar Chaloupková
A lyric-epic dance poem enchanted in metaphysically conceived luminous geometry of space.
The following is definitely known – the earth does not belong to a man, but a man belongs to the earth. All the things around are linked together by blood which unites a body. A man did not start weaving the material for life. He or she is a mere fibre of this material. Everything he or she does to the material, he or she does to themselves. The speech delivered by Seattle, chieftain of Seattles

Proměnná (The Variable) is a story of two people who pass each other; sometimes they are very close, then they are miles apart. Is there anything constant between them, anything not subject to continual change? How much is their relationship based on the memories of the past, on the plans for the future, what exactly is it right now?
In the world where everything is possible, we are undergoing continual change.
Our being is fragile, it is blasted by changes.
It is an endless story.
"Variable captures you also by its sophisticated, rich choreography supported by the costumes and light design. Some of the ideas really hit you: the use of two languages to underscore the tension between the characters, the 'film-like' movements, the water imitation by the light, Tereza riding on Einat's back (...) The feeling of authenticity and unpretentiousness sensed by the audience would alone make Proměnná worth seeing. It leads you to ask for more performances like this." “The author also proved her sense of stage design and the work with decoration-stage properties in the work 4:4, which has a relatively more dancelike form…They plunged into a dynamic whirl of dance, which by way of hints revealed the elements of power, violence, manipulation, but also love and desire.” Daniela Zilvarová, The Dance Latest News, 4/2009
